Introducing Essential’s Baby & Me product line
Sales of natural, organic, and vegan baby products are outpacing the personal care natural and organic market, with 12.5% sales growth expected in 2017. It’s good business to be thinking about the little ones and their caregivers as you plan your product lines. In this new lineup you’ll find five innovative, vegan products created with gently soothing, natural ingredients for new parents and babies, both. You can trust these eco-friendly, non-toxic products to keep both baby’s and parent’s skin healthy + safe.
Each product is also a “double-duty” product with at least two uses and most can be marketed to other demographics than babies.
Vegan and Leaping Bunny Certified
Each product in the Baby & Me line is vegan, created from sustainably sourced ingredients, including English poppy seed oil, and carries the “Leaping Bunny” certification, the internationally recognized symbol that indicates “cruelty-free” skincare. Whenever you see the Leaping Bunny logo, you can be sure neither the product nor any of its ingredients have been tested on animals.
English poppy seed oil (papaver somniferum seed oil) stands out as a superstar ingredient in this line. Cold-pressed from white poppies and lightly refined to preserve essential nutrients, English poppy seed is extremely high in quality, freshness, and stability in which essential nutrients such as Vitamin E are preserved. Baby & Belly Oil: a luxurious, ultra-moisturizing, gentle, multi-use oil for mom’s belly and baby’s delicate skin and scalp. Formulated with calendula extract, organic golden jojoba, carrot seed oil, English poppy seed oil, sesame seed oil, brassica fordii oil, and non-GMO vitamin E. This also makes a wonderful face oil, but don’t just stop there; your cuticles and hair will love this, too. Full disclosure — I absolutely love the rich, deep orange color of this gorgeous oil. It smells terrific and absorbs so quickly.
Calming Calendula Spray: Calming calendula, coconut water & English poppy stand out in this ultra- hydrating + cleansing spray for baby’s bottom. Don’t be shy – mommy’s bottom might need some soothing cooling spray too. This is also a great refreshing hydrating mist for adult faces and bodies. You’ll love how your skin feels after a spritz or two.
Baby Dusting Powder: This premium, innovative + sprayable baby powder is easy-to-use, silky smooth + features one of nature’s best deodorizers – baking soda. Whipped Mango Rescue Butter: This whipped butter is a soothing, calming + hydrating blend of mango butter, raspberry seed oil, cranberry seed oil, English poppy seed oil + kokum butter. Though packed with oils, it’s easily absorbed, light + airy. Designed specifically for nipples and lips, this is a versatile, all-over body butter. You can feel comfortable using it in sensitive spots– but please remember—external use only. You can also use this as a hair masque or to touch-up dry ends. I’ve been using it on my face at night instead of a heavy night cream and it has a special spot in my desk drawer for cuticle rescuing. Vegan Diaper Balm: A soothing + moisturizing balm for baby’s sensitive bottom, this is not your mother’s diaper balm. It is soft to touch and feels great on baby’s bottoms and everywhere else, too. I love it on my feet, my hands, my elbows, and knees. There’s no overpowering medicinal scent, either. Our vegan balm is formulated with candelilla wax instead of beeswax for eco-conscious parents. Other superstar ingredients include jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, carrot seed oil, English poppyseed oil, mango butter, and non-GMO vitamin E.
More than Babies
While designed for babies, each item in this line can be marketed to different audiences. You can even add some essential oils to create your own scent. Our only caution is to remind you that most essential oils are not baby-friendly, so be sure to do your research before adding EOs to these products if you sell them for use on babies. Not sure?
