The long-enduring skincare benefits of rose

Use of the rose flower to create skincare and beauty products is a long documented practice–even Cleopatra was said to cleanse her face with rose water and bathe in rose pedals. In modern times, the intoxicating and familiar scent of rose reminds us of springtime and passionate love (think Valentine’s Day).  In our hometown of Portland, Oregon, affectionately nicknamed “The City of Roses,” we patiently wait for spring and the emergence of the fragrant blooming buds that line our city streets.
